Communist Umpa Lumpas
The film, Charley and the Chocolate Factory, relate to Marx's communism manifesto. The ideas of his work are based off that societys
The Navi
The film Avatar has a strong relationship to imperialism. Imperialism is when a more advance nation over comes another. The film is about an American company voyaging in space for resources, and this planet contains a rare mineral, which the Navi people inhabit near. The Americans come to this planet for the minerals, so we take advantage of their native land. Destroying the homes and forcing these people into the wild. The Navis loose everything they have, and must relocate themselves. The Americans though are becoming more wealthy, taking over land and conquering resources for profit. Pointing out the perfect example of imperialism.

Women can't drive
Stereotypes in America are typically heard everyday. Because certain races and genders have different appearances and special abilities. So in turn we Americans make assumptions of a particular group by observations. I believe we make stereotypes to point out, complement, or to just wrongly discriminate.
The less the better
Thoreau believes when a government governs lease, the better it is. He is expressing his views on how governments are bad, and shouldn't be envoled with governing. I don't agree with this statement, there are somethings that the government does is wrong. But if it goes pass a certain point, the people will overthrow the authority. Government is trying to use tax money and ruling for the good, not intentionally bad, in my opinon, they offer the neccisities we Americans need.

Nations and their lies
Is it acceptable for a country to cover up evil deeds they commited? Yes, somethings aren't for the public to know, because leaders have to go under the table for their country to excel. In my opinion its survival of the fitest, doesn't matter what race or the nation it is every single one must conquer and gain power.
Importance of History
Time has the up most value, you can never take it back, it's what you make of it. Documenting time from eyewitnesses to censuses can reveal a realm of past cultures, civilizations, techniques, the ones who founded The United States of America, insights of what it was to be that person at that time, and to use history as a perception for the future.
